SZABOTAGE x GWEILO x VOCATION

Announcing a new collaboration with our friends at Gweilo Beer.

Gweilo was first established in 2014, by Ian and Emily Jebbitt and Joe Gould, creating the label’s first beer in a spare bedroom.  Since then, they’ve opened the biggest craft brewery in Hong Kong, in Fo Tan, to keep up with the demand for their bottles – mostly 4 – 6% session style ales.

The founders of the Hong Kong-based craft beer company approached us to create a series of label designs, starting with their Compote Sour.

Szabotage used stencils to depict iconic city references and inspiration that illustrate the vibrant connections of Hong Kong, Gweilo recipes and collaborations.

Compote Sour melds delicious summer fruits in this session-style sour. An aroma of summer berries leads into a light body with a refreshing tang from the kettle soured base. Sweetness on the finish balances out the flavours and rounds off this tasty refresher.

This brew is available in cans from Marketplace by Jasons and selected Wellcome stores in Hong Kong.

To celebrate a new partnership with Vocation Brewery, Gweilo has created a new beer aptly named East & West Pale Ale, featuring artwork Szabotage.  The artist captures vibrant elements from Hong Kong, Yorkshire and the UK, along with few favour notes from the brew.

Here’s more info on the recipe: The soft, hazy base is dry hopped with Galaxy and Vic’s Secret, imparting notes of ripe papaya, guava and pineapple, leading into a dank flavour profile on the finish. ABV 5.7%

This new brew will available in the UK this afternoon, direct from Vocation's web shop and in stores in Hong Kong.

Cheers!
